Polyethylene /PP rope used in daily life

Polyethylene has good chemical stability and can resist dilute nitric acid, dilute sulfuric acid and any concentration of hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, ammonia, amine, hydrogen peroxide, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and other solutions at room temperature. But it is not resistant to strong oxidation corrosion, such as fuming sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, chromic acid and sulfuric acid mixture. At room temperature, the solvents will produce slow erosion of polyethylene, and at 90 ~ 100℃, concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid will quickly erode polyethylene, making it damaged or decomposed.Polyethylene is easy to photo oxidation, thermal oxidation, ozone decomposition, easy to degrade under the action of ultraviolet light, carbon black has an excellent light shielding effect on polyethylene.Reactions such as crosslinking, chain breaking and the formation of unsaturated groups can occur after radiation.

Polyethylene rope belongs to alkane inert polymer and has good chemical stability. At room temperature, acid, alkali, salt aqueous solution corrosion resistance, but not strong oxidant such as fuming sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid and chromic acid.Polyethylene insoluble in general solvents below 60℃, but with aliphatic hydrocarbon, aromatic hydrocarbon, halogenated hydrocarbon and other long-term contact will swell or crack.

Polyethylene rope has the production of polyethylene, polyethylene for environmental stress (chemical and mechanical action) is very sensitive, heat aging is worse than the polymer chemical structure and processing strip.Polyethylene can be processed by the common thermoplastic molding method. It is widely used in the manufacture of film, packaging materials, containers, pipes, monofilament, wire and cable, daily necessities, etc., and can be used as high frequency insulation materials for TV, radar, etc. With the development of petrochemical industry, the production of polyethylene has been rapidly developed, accounting for about 1/4 of the total production of plastics. In 1983, the world’s total production capacity of polyethylene was 24.65 mT, and the capacity of the plant under construction was 3.16 mT. The latest statistical results in 2011, the global production capacity reached 96 MT, the development trend of polyethylene production shows that production and consumption are gradually shifting to Asia, and China is becoming the most important consumer market.
